I have rounded off today’s activities in the ongoing GoK provision of free Internet to Kenyans at the lower end of the social and economic pyramid by launching a public Wi-Fi hotspot in Moi Gardens, Kericho.
Thousands of small businesses are expected to benefit from using these hotspots, as part of Kenya’s evolving digital economy.
Also present were several other leaders, including:
Kericho Governor, H.E. Dr. Erick Mutai; H.E Eng. Fred Kirui, Deputy Governor Kericho County; Sigowet MP, Hon. Justice Kemei; Regional Commissioner’s representative, Mr. Karugo Kamau; Chairman ICTA, Prof. Fred Owino; Area MCA, Bwana Rogony, and other elected leaders and public servants.
